Lubrication of planetary reducer

Any machine operation needs lubricant, and planetary reducer is no exception. Lubricants can not only protect the machine but also speed up the operation. Here we introduce how to do a good job of lubrication for the planetary reducer.

If grease is selected according to environmental conditions, calcium based grease is not easily soluble in water and is suitable for dry and low moisture environment. When selecting grease according to working temperature, the main index should be drop point, oxidation stability and low temperature function, drop point can generally be used to evaluate high temperature function, and the actual working temperature of bearing should be lower than the drop point 10-20⁰C. The use temperature of synthetic grease should be 20-30⁰C lower than the drop point.      

The lubrication mode of the planetary reducer is also one of the aspects of poor lubrication. The splashing lubrication mode is mainly used for high speed occasions. For this medium load, the low speed is obviously not suitable. Closed full life gearbox with long service life and less maintenance can be used for lubrication of centralized grease supply equipment.
