Kubilay Terzi on WEG Türkiye Automation, Drive and Control Products and Services

First of all, can you briefly introduce yourself and your career?

I am Kubilay Terzi, I work as WEG Türkiye Low Voltage Systems and Automation Department Manager. I currently manage a wide product portfolio at WEG Türkiye, including industrial automation, low voltage controls, safety devices and industrial sensors.

WEG Türkiye is known for its electric motors. However, WEG also offers products and services related to automation, drive and control products and services globally. Can you share details about this subject?

WEG is a global company with over 40 thousand employees worldwide across 52 facilities, manufacturing, distributing and servicing electrical products for all industrial sectors.  A world leader in the production of energy efficient electric motors WEG also excels at manufacturing a range of automation products, gearboxes, digital systems, transformers, alternators, solar farm products, hydro-generators and wind generators.  WEG, which has been operating and developing in the field of electric motors since 1961, added drive and control products to its portfolio in 1985. We continue to be the leader in terms of production quantities in the world with electric motors. As WEG Türkiye, we have access to global portfolio that can offer end-to-end solutions with automation solutions, drives, control products and other safety devices and sensor products.

As WEG, in which sectors are the products you support used in Türkiye?

The products we provide from Türkiye appeal to a wide range of sectors. Energy efficient electric motors and automation solutions are used intensively in the energy, plastics, cement, chemical, mining, food and beverage sectors. In addition, we provide added value with system solutions in the field of machine production with our industrial automation and digital systems, for monitoring efficiency and effectiveness of processes and help to avoid unwanted stoppages..
