Eurotrans Gear Training to Be Held in Switzerland on 26–27 February 2026
Registration has opened for the “Eurotrans Training – Design Meets Production” programme organised by the European Committee of Associations of Manufacturers of Gears and Transmission Parts (EUROTRANS). The two-day training will take place on 26–27 February 2026 in Switzerland, with sessions in Zurich and Nebikon.
The first day will be held at HWZ University in Zurich, while the second day includes a programme and live demonstration at Grob AG in Nebikon. The training language is English, and participants will receive a Eurotrans Training Certificate.

Programme Focus: From Gear Design to Manufacturing Practice
The agenda covers the modern design-to-production process in the gear industry. Topics include gearbox specification, geometric terminology, relevant standards, gear rating methods, and the optimisation of key gear parameters.
Material selection, heat treatment, surface hardening, and quality requirements are also addressed. A dedicated session examines the link between gear design and manufacturing, including hard-finishing technologies such as generating grinding, profile grinding, and hard-skiving, with emphasis on process limitations and production implications.
Digitalisation, Knowledge Transfer and Live Demonstration
The second day includes sessions on retaining expert knowledge through AI-supported systems, predictive maintenance standards, and the interpretation of measurement data. A technical block on gear drawings will address geometry data, tolerancing, and specification requirements.
The programme concludes with a live manufacturing demonstration and technical discussion at Grob AG.
Participation is aimed at professionals in design, production, and quality management. Registration closes on 18 February 2026, and places are limited.
